“Losar”, or the New year of the Monpa community, is the most festive celebration all year around. Taking place in the first two weeks of March. During this time the Monpa Community practises a range of household rituals as the other family members join the festivities and exchange good wishes. During “Losar”, monpas wear their traditional attire along with ethnic jewellery.
